Pacific Coast Forecasting has announced the opening of their Teterboro (TEB) office September 1.
Mike Wittman, CEO of Pacific Coast Forecasting, said that the company, which has been operating at Van Nuys Airport for over seven years, is opening an office at Teterboro Airport to better serve their existing clientele and expand their business.
“The company has been operating at Van Nuys (VNY) for over seven years and views this expansion as a chance to better serve our existing clientele and expand our business,” says Mike Wittman, company CEO. “In this time of high-tech expansion, there’s still a demand for personal service. Pilots can get plenty of legal weather and flight planning information from other sources for free, but it’s not edited and presented like our staff does it. A face-to-face briefing is something that improves efficiency and safety. In these days of complex planning, just for domestic ATC issues, it only makes sense to have people working for you who know what the current issues are.”
The new office will be based on the airport at the Atlantic Aviation FBO through an affiliation agreement with National Weather Station.
“This company is a local professional weather firm that wanted to enter the business aviation industry, and joining Pacific Coast Forecasting is a natural fit,” Wittman said. “Our menu of services and agreements worldwide for fuel and operational support are already well established. The company will continue to run its 24-hour center in Van Nuys, also supporting the flight planning needs of our East Coast clients when away from home base.”
Meteorology, especially aviation meteorology, is a very local thing, Wittman said.
“Local knowledge and experience is priceless when situations really get ugly,” he said. “We’re looking forward to the personal touch this new facility will provide for our customers.”
