The Colorado Aviation Historical Society has a full schedule of events highlighting aviation from balloons to ballistics. On August 20, a general membership and board of directors meeting was held with a fly-in/drive-in at Platte Valley Airport (18V), 10 miles north of Denver International Airport.
Bea Khan Wilhite, CAHS president, accepted many works of art from artist Richard Broome. Earlier, the CAHS presented a general aviation exhibit to the Wings Over The Rockies Museum at Lowry AFB. Many of the CAHS Aviation Hall of Fame laureates were present for the occasion.
Founded in 1966, the CAHS acquires, restores, preserves and provides for public display aircraft and other objects, documents and items of historical interest.
