Biplane Rides Over Kissimmee has landed at Kissimmee Gateway Airport. This unique flying attraction is based at Attractions Jet Center, one of four fixed base operators located at the airport.

Guests can get a birds-eye view of area attractions from an open-cockpit 1943 Boeing Stearman, The Kissimmee Queen. Rides in this authentic World War II trainer last 20 to 60 minutes and start at $135 per person.

James Barron, the airplane’s pilot, has more than 6,000 flight hours between single and twin-engine aircraft. He’s flown everything from biplanes to jets and holds an airline transport pilot license, the highest obtainable airman certificate.

“Central Florida has been known as ‘Warbird Central’ for quite some time,” said Terry Lloyd, director of aviation for the airport. “Hosting biplane rides in addition to our existing T-6 warbird adventure flights will provide locals and tourists alike the opportunity to experience a piece of history right here at the airport.”
