City of Dallas Names New Director of Aviation
Daniel T. Weber is the new director of aviation for the city of Dallas. He’s responsible for Dallas Love Field, Dallas Executive Airport and the city’s downtown heliport.

Daniel T. Weber is the new director of aviation for the city of Dallas. He’s responsible for Dallas Love Field, Dallas Executive Airport and the city’s downtown heliport.

Mary K. Suhm, Dallas city manager, has announced the appointment of Daniel T. Weber as director of aviation for the city. He joined the Dallas city management team on January 17, taking on responsibility for Dallas Love Field, Dallas Executive Airport and the city’s downtown heliport.

Weber comes to Dallas from Abilene, Texas, where he worked as the city’s director of aviation for four years. In a career spanning 27 years, he has also served as director of aviation for Brownsville/South Padre Island International Airport and in airport management positions at Springfield/Branson National Airport, San Antonio International Airport and Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. He’s a pilot and holds a BS in aeronautics from Parks College of St. Louis University. He attended graduate school at St. Louis University, St. Mary’s University and Southwest Missouri State University.

Weber’s professional affiliations and recognitions include accredited airport executive; board of directors, Airports Council International-North America (2004-2006); past chairman, ACI-NA Small Airports Committee; and project panel member, The National Academies’ Transportation Research Board, Airport Cooperative Research Program.

Weber’s experience in positioning airports to meet the demands of constantly changing markets and industry, as well as with major capital improvement and redevelopment projects, will further advance Dallas Love Field’s momentum for progress in the 21st century.
