Thousands of elite jet-setters converged in Miami the evening of June 16 for the unveiling of FalconTrust Air Avitat Miami, a 22,000-square-foot fixed base operation at Kendall-Tamiami Executive Airport that blends luxury, comfort and technology—Miami style.

The grand opening event possessed all the glamour and pizzazz of a Hollywood star parade. A red carpet led to a display of private jets, helicopters, vintage aircraft, an exotic car show, custom motorcycles and more, all guided by runway fashion models in 1930s vintage stewardess uniforms.

Proclamations by Attorney General Charlie Crist, State Representatives Gus Barreiro and Juan Carlos Zapata, Commissioner Joe Martinez and many others were presented to Albert and Edward Sotero, founders of FalconTrust Air.

Crowds gathered as a special recognition by avid pilot and mega-star John Travolta was given to them. The elite jet-set of special guests enjoyed jet tours, an aviation museum of priceless antique planes and gourmet food tastings at four dining pavilions. But the facility itself was truly the star of this show.

Upon arrival, FalconTrust personnel greeted guests as beautiful jets and exotic cars met beautiful architecture in the three-story, Mediterranean style building set amidst tropical landscaping. Past the porte-cochere, guests were able to tour the entire facility, and experience first-hand what is “sure to be the most luxurious FBO in South Florida and probably the entire country.”

The décor was a combination of classical and contemporary design. The soothing melodies emanating from a harp and classical guitarist set the tone for an evening of spectacular sights and sounds. Lights shone bright, as cameras rolled, and “action,” Miami’s elite jet-set had taken center stage in a FalconTrust “mega production.”

The event truly commanded a standing ovation.

“It’s all part of setting a new standard in the private aviation industry,” said FalconTrust Founder Albert Sotero.

If one word could be used to describe this facility, it would have to be “amenities.” Guests at FalconTrust Air can maintain a high level of privacy in the VIP suites, where they can unwind with a game of billiards, watch the latest blockbusters in a private movie theater, or enjoy five-star concierge service and gourmet catering to make sure everyone dines on delicious cuisine.

Additionally, guests can then enjoy an after-dinner cocktail in the sky-lounge, where a fully-stocked bar caters to the most discerning of spirits connoisseurs. For the pilots, the facility offers private rooms to unwind, nap or navigate ahead for departure.

Other amenities include several equipped conference rooms with the latest telecommunications capabilities for the business mogul constantly on the go. Private offices are also available as is a weather station, a library complete with bestsellers and reference books, car rental from exotic to practical, and limousine service to and from anywhere.

If a guest is inclined to learn the art and exhilaration of piloting, a fully-credentialed flight school is also located within the facility compound.

“Our mission in creating FalconTrust Air was to provide the ultimate in pampering private aviation with record-setting levels of service, comfort, technology and luxury,” explains Albert Sotero, CEO. “It’s a center that will also excel in providing ExxonMobil jet fuel, hangar storage, towing, tie-down, maintenance, ground transportation and helicopter charters”—a “New Breed of FBO.”
