Front Range Airport (FTG) hosted its First Annual Classic Aircraft and Car Show September 17. Young and old alike gathered at the airport in Watkins, Colo., to view 200 classic airplanes and cars.

The event was designed to showcase the airport and its recent accomplishments, including the construction of the tallest GA airport control tower in the United States and the interim assembly and manufacturing facility for Aviation Technology Groups’ Javelin aircraft.

During the last 10 years, FTG has experienced a growth rate of nearly 300 percent in based aircraft, going from 132 planes in 1994 to 391 in 2005.
