In Their Honor”

On May 19, 2002, aviation enthusiasts gathered at the old terminal of Colorado Springs Airport for “In Their Honor,” a fly-in held in coordination with Armed Air Forces Weekend.

Sponsored by Boeing, the fly-in featured dozens of World War II aircraft, as well as modern fighter jets, helicopters, and exotic aircraft. Pilots were available to share stories, answer questions, and show their talents.
