Jeffco Airport Open House Salute the Armed Forces

The 2005 Open House and J.A.A Fly-In was held on Saturday, May 21. The theme, “A Salute to the Armed Forces,” paid tribute to the military.

The event kicked off with a pancake breakfast hosted by The Ninety-Nines and featured various aircraft displays and activities for the entire family. The Colorado Aviation Historical Society presented “Top Gun Performances,” with speaker Gen. Steve Ritchie, the only U.S. Air Force pilot ace of the Vietnam Conflict, in the Mount Evans conference room at the Jefferson County Airport Terminal Building. The organization also had a chalet at the open house featuring the “Patriots & Heroes” displays and exhibits.
