It rained cats and dogs the day before and after the Porsche Business Aircraft & Jet Preview. Fortunately, the dawn of July 19 brought beautiful sunshine for the exhibitors and invited guests. Buyers and sellers got together at Boeing Field for a beautiful aviation day.
Everyone enjoyed the presentation of a large selection of business aircraft, Porsche vehicles and MasterCraft boats on static display in Galvin Flying Service’s large hangar and on the adjoining ramp.
One of the new attractions was a Viper Aircraft Corporation Viperjet MKII Executive experimental personal jet powered by a single General Electric J-85/CJ-610 de-rated to 2,700 lbs thrust, which provides a cruise speed of 500 mph.
AvantAir presented a Piaggio Avanti II twin turboprop to many prospects interested in its exclusive fractional ownership program that’s setting new sales records. Jet-Alliance displayed an Eclipse 500 to those interested in its successful shared ownership program. Cessna Aircraft Company’s lineup included a Cessna Citation X that’s the 5,000th Citation built.
Also attracting attention was the Embraer Legacy 600 super business jet; Pilatus PC-12 single-engine turboprop; Columbia 400 single-engine piston aircraft; turbocharged Cirrus SR-22 Generation 3 single engine piston aircraft; and Diamond Aircraft DA-40.

L to R: Nancy Sheckler-Cecchi, executive administrator; Peter Anderson, president and CEO; and Scott Jefvert, line service sales, represented Galvin Flying Services, Boeing Field.
MasterCraft brought three boats in their lineup to complement the variety of high-performance vehicles on display. The Residential Cruise Line exhibit featured their cruise ship that offers an at-home lifestyle on the high seas.
Barrier Porsche, the Seattle area authorized Porsche dealer, showcased the entire product lineup. From the Porsche Boxster (MSRP $45,800) to the 911 Targa 4, people had the opportunity to get behind the wheel and feel what it’s like to sit in a Porsche.
