The Federal Aviation Administration recently honored three Colorado pilots with the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award. Brian D. Richardson, safety program manager for the Denver Flight Standards District office, presented the awards to Harold Gibson, Robert Beabout and Dean Baird during a ceremony at the Air Force Academy Officers Club on Dec. 8, 2005.
Through this award, the FAA recognizes pilots who have contributed and maintained safe flight operations for 50 or more consecutive years of piloting aircraft.
